Diamond Cooper
Brooklyn native, Diamond Cooper is a New York based producer for Elvis Duran and the Morning on New York’s Hit Music Station, WHTZ Z100 where she undertakes key administrative responsibilities as well as assisting in planning and producing live and/or pre-recorded radio shows.
As the show’s sole Black employee, she prides herself on bringing diversity to the content that she produces for the show.
After receiving her Bachelor’s of Science in Communication Arts from St. John’s University, Diamond began working for iHeartRadio as a stream listener where she assisted the business operations department by producing daily recordings of the
company’s top streamed stations.
This led to her building great relationships with the NYC cluster program directors ultimately resulting in her being hired as a board operator for multiple stations in iHeartMedia’s top rated market.
Diamond’s ultimate goal is to become a music director or general manager of a station. She also aspires to give back to young women in media whether it’s teach- ing media classes or mentoring.
When not traveling, Diamond enjoys working out, creating playlist for her friends to enjoy, and spending time with her obnoxiously dramatic family.
